Dreamhost review: Dreamhost hosting promoting their free trial hosting recent month, is this the caused of poor service uptime for our dreamhost review site? Free trial hosting means lots of free user account in the servers, and they are testing their scripts and testing the server. Somehow, our dreamhost review blog is having poor service uptime for this october.

Dreamhost uptime: Last month dreamhost uptime was 99.7%. This month dreamhost uptime had been compiled, and its a very bad uptime record. Only 97% over the internet for this dreamhost review site, hosted with dreamhost. And no supprisingly, there is 98 downtime incident and over 1000 minutes of service downtime recorded for this month. Dreamhost review: Dreamhost perform poorly this month, with just 97% uptime, the worst downtime recorded. Dreamhost are offering free hosting, free trial hosting, a big marketing campaign to get new customers. Is this the reason for poor service uptime for this month, are the dreamhost support team too busy with their work? On the good side, dreamhost are going green and now they are a carbon neutral hosting. We will write more review about dreamhost green hosting in next review.

At the moment writting this dreamhost review article, we are testing to signup a new dreamhost free hosting account for trial purpose… however, after few minutes the setup process still haven’t completed. We filled in the web form on dreamhost homepage and submitted it… its not doing anything so far.. webpage hang… and not responding. Should we refresh the submission page, guess not! This is not going to work.

Dreamhost Review: Dreamhost are heavily promoting their web hosting service, not only offering discount price for longer hosting term you choose, they also offering free trial web hosting services. You can now get dreamhost hosting free trial at no cost. Is this the reason for lower service uptime or are they hosting more users in single server and causes this problem? In the late few months, there were no special discount or promotion from dreamhost web hosting. And there were no promotion for mother day, summer holiday, father day, or 4th july sales. Dreamhost hosting is not organising special promotion period for that. While most other web hosting companies are throwing sales and promotion for the events. So, its all original & regular price at dreamhost.

Dreamhost hosting uptime for the late few months are falling terrible. I am getting about 99.6% for the May 2008 dreamhost uptime. I am expecting for something near to 99.9%, even if they cant deliver it. Definately not 99.6% level.

Over this 11 months of dreamhost review, i did learnt a great deal about dreamhost hosting. Fact is that, this dreamhost review site affiliate account had been TERMINATED! Same thing happend to other affiliate users too. Just now sure what had caused this account termination thing to happened. I hope for a response from dreamhost affiliate program.

For dreamhost hosting, i notice that dreamhost addon domain is not a free process. I had seen the fee notice, and this means adding domain name will incur extra charges. Before this i having two websites, one primary and another is addon domain. Later i removed the addon domain and move the site to my other hosting account that offering free addon domain.

No problem at all, and i get my account details within minutes after payment made with paypal money transfer.
