Dreamhost uptime: Last month dreamhost uptime was 99.7%. This month dreamhost uptime had been compiled, and its a very bad uptime record. Only 97% over the internet for this dreamhost review site, hosted with dreamhost. And no supprisingly, there is 98 downtime incident and over 1000 minutes of service downtime recorded for this month. Dreamhost review: Dreamhost perform poorly this month, with just 97% uptime, the worst downtime recorded. Dreamhost are offering free hosting, free trial hosting, a big marketing campaign to get new customers. Is this the reason for poor service uptime for this month, are the dreamhost support team too busy with their work? On the good side, dreamhost are going green and now they are a carbon neutral hosting. We will write more review about dreamhost green hosting in next review.
Do you belief in web hosting free trial? Signup a web hosting plan for free, try it, use it, and pay for it after? Seem like there are more web hosting company are using this “free hosting” trials to attract new customers, will these new customers getting the same web hosting quality when they switch to paid hosting? Commonly, free trial hosting are setup in “trial server” that is specially setup for handling large user group, and not large website traffic. Thus, its more to interface testing only.
At the moment writting this dreamhost review article, we are testing to signup a new dreamhost free hosting account for trial purpose… however, after few minutes the setup process still haven’t completed. We filled in the web form on dreamhost homepage and submitted it… its not doing anything so far.. webpage hang… and not responding. Should we refresh the submission page, guess not! This is not going to work.
